When the first star is observed on the late afternoon of December 24th it is time to share, with the family members, a traditional Oplatki Wafers, and the long awaited celebration of Wigilja can begin. This custom, originated in Poland is also celebrated by Czech, Slowak and Lithuanian people in their native countries and all over the world wherever they live.
